WELL AIR LINEUP

WELL AIR is an element-free compressed-air purifier that separates water droplets, oil droplets, and foreign matter near the point of use. For international markets, the DT Series is available in three flow capacities to suit different equipment requirements.

International markets: DT Series
North America: Catalog information only

How to Choose

First select the DT model according to the actual air consumption of the equipment. Then determine whether additional treatment is required for fine particles, oil mist, or water vapor.

Step 01

Select by Flow Rate

Select the model according to the actual air consumption of the end-use equipment, rather than selecting only by pipe connection size. Allow sufficient capacity for operating fluctuations.

Step 02

Confirm the Treatment Target

The DT Series separates water droplets, oil droplets, and foreign matter. For fine particles or oil mist, use the WELL AIR CLEAN configuration.

Step 03

Confirm the Required Air Quality

If lower-dew-point air is required, select the WELL AIR DRY configuration. Final selection depends on inlet conditions, flow rate, pressure, and required air quality.

DT Series Flow Guide
WA-150DT Flow range: 5-150 L/min (ANR)
WA-400DT Flow range: 20-400 L/min (ANR)
WA-1200DT Flow range: 70-1,200 L/min (ANR)
Select the configuration according to the required air quality
WELL AIR Separates water droplets, oil droplets, and coarse foreign matter.
WELL AIR CLEAN Combines WELL AIR with a precision filter for fine particles and oil mist.
WELL AIR DRY Adds a membrane air dryer when lower-dew-point air is required.

International markets: The WELL AIR base unit is supplied in the DT specification. Availability of WELL AIR CLEAN, WELL AIR DRY, and downstream components may vary by destination.

North America: Product information is currently provided through the North America catalog.

Model Selection Notes
Select the model based on the actual air consumption, inlet pressure, inlet temperature, piping conditions, and required air quality of the end-use equipment. If the operating flow may approach the maximum rated flow, select the next larger model or contact us for application-specific model selection.

DT Series

International models for drain containing water, oil, and foreign matter

3 Models

The DT Series is the standard WELL AIR specification supplied for international markets. It separates water droplets, oil droplets, and foreign matter from compressed air near the point of use without using a replaceable filter element.

  • Separates water droplets, oil droplets, and solid contaminants through high-speed swirling airflow and impaction
  • Does not use a replaceable filter element or desiccant
  • Operates without electricity or an external heat source
  • Equipped with an automatic drain for separated liquid
  • Designed for installation near the end-use equipment
  • Periodic inspection is recommended according to operating conditions

* Performance values are based on internal tests and may vary depending on inlet conditions, flow rate, pressure, temperature, and contaminant properties.

* WELL AIR does not remove water vapor or oil vapor. If fine particles, oil mist, or lower-dew-point air must also be treated, consider WELL AIR CLEAN or WELL AIR DRY.

Dimensional drawings are available after submitting the short document-download form. Large-flow and special specifications, including WA-2500DT, are introduced separately below.

Air Quality Configurations

Add treatment according to the required air quality.

WELL AIR CLEAN and WELL AIR DRY are staged compressed-air treatment configurations built around WELL AIR. Select the configuration according to whether the application also requires treatment of fine particles, oil mist, or water vapor.

WELL AIR CLEAN

Precision Filter Set

WELL AIR + Precision Filter

WELL AIR first separates water droplets, oil droplets, and coarse foreign matter. The precision filter then treats fine particles and oil mist.

This configuration is suitable for precision processing, painting, coating, and high-quality air-blow applications that require a higher air-quality level than WELL AIR alone.

  • Staged treatment using WELL AIR and a precision filter
  • Treats fine particles and oil mist after bulk liquid separation
  • Nominal precision-filter rating of 0.01 μm
  • ISO 8573-1 system target: [1:4:2]
Nominal filtration rating 0.01 μm
Outlet oil-mist concentration ≤0.1 mg/m³

Operating pressure range 0.1-1.0 MPa
Fluid temperature range 5-60°C
Nominal precision-filter rating 0.01 μm
Outlet oil-mist concentration ≤0.1 mg/m³

* The nominal filtration rating and outlet oil-mist concentration are the published values of the selected precision filter. Performance of the complete configuration varies according to operating conditions.

WELL AIR DRY

Low-Dew-Point Set

WELL AIR + Precision Filter + Membrane Air Dryer

WELL AIR and the precision filter treat liquid droplets, coarse foreign matter, fine particles, and oil mist in stages. The membrane air dryer then reduces water vapor.

This configuration is suitable for precision measurement, condensation prevention, and equipment that requires lower-dew-point compressed air.

  • WELL AIR separates water droplets, oil droplets, and coarse foreign matter
  • The precision filter treats fine particles and oil mist
  • The membrane air dryer reduces water vapor
  • Outlet atmospheric dew point reference: approximately -20°C
Nominal filtration rating 0.01 μm
Atmospheric dew point reference Approx. -20°C

Inlet air temperature range 5-50°C
Nominal precision-filter rating 0.01 μm
Outlet oil-mist concentration ≤0.1 mg/m³
Outlet atmospheric dew point Approx. -20°C

* The atmospheric dew point of approximately -20°C is a reference value at an inlet pressure of 0.7 MPa, inlet air temperature of 25°C, inlet-air saturation temperature of 25°C, and ambient temperature of 25°C. It is not a guaranteed value. Actual dew point, outlet flow, and purge-air flow vary according to operating conditions.

For international markets, WELL AIR CLEAN and WELL AIR DRY are configured using DT-specification WELL AIR units. Availability of filters, membrane air dryers, and complete assemblies may vary by destination.

WELL AIR Installation Notes

  1. Always install WELL AIR vertically.
  2. Install WELL AIR as close as practical to the end-use pneumatic equipment.
  3. Whenever possible, provide sufficient piping distance from the compressor before installation. Approximately 20 m is a practical guideline.
  4. Confirm the airflow direction and do not reverse the IN and OUT connections.
  5. Install filters, regulators, lubricators, and other downstream treatment equipment after WELL AIR.
  6. Read the instruction manual carefully and confirm the applicable pressure, temperature, flow rate, piping, and drain conditions before installation and operation.

Installation conditions vary according to the equipment, piping layout, operating environment, and selected configuration. Please contact us if you require assistance with model selection or installation planning.
